Join us on Tuesday, March 21st at 5:30 pm at Northern Metals as we gather to stand up against corporate greed that continues to fuel infrastructure projects that threaten our air, water, and health. While the consent decree was signed, mandating Northern Metals to shut down its facility by 2019, that still gives them 2 years to continue to pollute the communities of North and Northeast Minneapolis. We will rally at Northern Metals, then march to the Lowry Bridge to do a banner drop, connecting our local fight to the national fight for our air, water, and health.
Trump is proposing massive cuts to the Environmental Protection Agency’s budget — as much as 31% — that would cut key programs that limit toxic pollution and save lives. We need our elected officials to stand firm to protect funding for the EPA during the upcoming budget fight and beyond.
Join us at this event to demand that Congress:
-- Protect our families and environment by opposing EPA budget cuts
-- Defend healthcare for all
-- Support the WATER Act to defend access to clean, affordable, public water.
