"This strike is for black, white, latinos...all of us. The workers. Support this today or get left behind tomorrow." -NOC board member I Self Devine, supporting the CTUL Target strike. Centro de Trabajadores Unidos en Lucha (Center for workers united in struggle) bring retail cleaning workers together to fight for better working conditions. Success for CTUL is success for workers around the country.
Retail janitors who work for contracted companies cleaning Target and other stores in the Twin Cities set a June 10th deadline for a strike, fighting for the right to organize without fear of retaliation. The cleaning companies refused to have dialogue with the cleaning workers, members of CTUL, so the workers took to the streets outside of Target headquarters in downtown Minneapolis.
