Join Us For the NOC Annual Meeting, Saturday October 4th from 2p.m. - 4p.m.

To All NOC Community Members,

I am writing to let you know we have reschedule the NOC annual meeting for Saturday, October 4th from 2p.m. - 4p.m. at the NOC office, 911 Broadway, North Minneapolis, and that all of us here at NOC hope that you can join us.  It is going to be a great day for participation, renewed energy, and of course the election of the NOC board.

The reason for rescheduling is a happy one - we received a large number of board applications, with more on the way, and we want to make sure that we can give each application proper consideration.  We also wanted to make sure that we had time to reach out to the entire NOC community so that as many people as possible could be a part of moving the organization forward.

Please remember that you must be a monthly, dues-paying member of NOC in order to vote for the Board at the annual meeting.  Anyone who meets the board criteria is welcome to apply for the board, and can do so by sending a resume and statement of interest to me at Anthony@mnnoc.org.  Qualifications are as follows:

Qualifications:

1. Must have been a dues paying member for the past twelve months. Current non-members need to provide a short explanation as to why they’re not a current dues paying member and be willing to become a member prior to the September 19th due date and must pay past dues from January 1, 2014 to current month

2. Must have been active as a NOC member, either through a committee OR activity related to various NOC campaigns prior to election day. Must have attended at least 12 NOC related actions, events or meetings within the last twelve months. If this has not been possible for you, please provide a short explanation for why this has not been possible for you and how you intend to be more actively engaged in the future.

3. Must agree to attend all 10 of 12 total  monthly board meetings over the next calendar year.

4. Must agree to be a committed active board member with NOC by serving on a committee, or performing a set of specific skills. Provide a short explanation as to how your particular commitment or skill set may benefit the organization.

Many thanks for everything that you do. I look forward to seeing you on Saturday, October 4th!
