 In 2011, the NOC education committee conducted a survey of the parents of over 700 school children in Minneapolis and St. Paul.  In partnership with the Annenberg Institute for School Reform, NOC released this report detailing the most pressing concerns parents revealed, and recommending solutions that emerged from our community discussions.

The Impact of Foreclosures on the Minneapolis Public Schools

Though there has been extensive study of the impact of the foreclosure crisis on homeowners, far less attention has been paid to the collateral damage felt in our community.  NOC released this study to show the impact the foreclosure crisis has had on school funding, demonstrating that the Minneapolis Public Schools have lost $150 million in state funding attributable to home foreclosures.
