NOC School Board Candidate Q&A

This election includes four seats on the Minneapolis Public Schools Board of Education. NOC’s Education Committee wants to provide nonpartisan voter education that will aid community members in making informed decisions while elevating the need for them to be engaged in school board elections. We created a short candidate questionnaire that focuses on critical issues in MPS and gives space for candidates to propose solutions they would pursue if elected.

To find your school board district, see the map below. Three of six school board districts are up for election this year. All Minneapolis voters have the opportunity to vote in the At Large school board race.

You can find your polling place and a sample ballot here. You can vote early beginning September 23. Election Day is November 8. You can find more info about voting, including voter registration and absentee voting, here.

Candidate Questionnaires:

District 2: Kimberly Caprini and Kerry Jo Felder

District 4: Josh Reimnitz and Bob Walser

District 6: Tracine Asberry and Ira Jourdain

At Large: Kim Ellison and Doug Mann
