Hello Great People,

Thanks to you and all our members we have been able to move some big things around transportation at Neighborhoods Organizing for Change and we want to continue to push for a system where people of color have a voice at the table. Last month NOC held a public meeting with the Metropolitan Council led by transit riders to push for riders having a voice in the decisions being made and for greater equity coming out of the SWLRT project. At the public meeting the Met Council agreed to a POC (people of color) advisory panel made up of transit riders, community folks, and community organizers. We now have to hold them accountable to starting this advisory panel and we need your help to do it. People in power agree to things and make promises just to get folks like us to keep quiet, but NOC and it's member don't want to be quiet, we want the people who we put in power to serve us as they should! Be a part of a meeting to hold accountable and have your voice heard Thursday June 12th, 6:30-8pm at Neighborhoods Organizing for Change.  Nothing for us! Without us!
